Golden Eagles clipped by Maple Grove in Far West Regionals

Clyde Savannah suffers 1st loss of the season

ROCHESTER - Clyde-Savannah opened the scoring on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Dru Carnevale to Austin Diver and the Golden Eagles led 6-0.

Maple Grove scored the next 22 points, highlighted by an Easton Tanner touchdown halfway through the second quarter.

The Golden Eagles answered back on a 61-yard strike from Carnevale to Derrick Chance to make it a one-score game.

That's as close as Clyde-Savannah would get.

The Red Dragons rushed for over 450 yards in the win.

Carnevale finished with 209 yards passing and a pair of scores. Diver had two touchdown catches. Chance finished the night with over 120 total yards and two scores.

The Golden Eagles' season ends 10-1
