Final week of the regular season

ROCHESTER - McQuaid 10, Wilson 8

McQuaid's star quarterback Hunter Walsh missed the match up of top teams in the RCAC due to a sprain ankle suffered last week. 

Without Walsh, the Knights marched down the field on their opening drive and capped it off with a Mark Passero touchdown run to take a 7-0.

Wilson answered with three minutes left in the first half as Dasjon Dash found Ricky Gamble Jr. for a touchdown. Wildcats added the two point converstion and led 8-7.

McQuaid answered with a Alex Mcnutly 38 yard field goal to regain the lead before halftime.

Both teams were scoreless in the second half and Wilson missed a game winning field goal attempt in the final seconds.

Canisius(VI) 7, Aquinas 31

Trey Brown had a pair of first half sacks as the Lil Irish shutout the reigning Catholic school state champs at halftime. 

In the third quarter TJ Jones broke a 60 yard touchdown run to put Aquinas up 17-0.

Ensusing drive for Canisius, Damon Montgomery with the sack and forced a fumble with TJ Scanlon recovered deep inside Canisius territory.

The turnover led to another Jones touchdown run as Aquinas forced three fumbles and knocked off the number 6th ranked team in the state with ease.

Lil Irish finished the regular season 6-1.

Brighton 28, Spencerport 35

Tied at 28 heading into the 4th quarter, the Rangers regained the lead and the ball five minutes to play.

Spencerport tried to run out the clock but were stopped on 4th and inches deep inside Barons territory with three minutes to play.

Shea McDonald found Noah Shiniman on 4th and 14 for a 19 yard gain to keep the game tying drive alive.

Brighton marched the ball across midfield but McDonald's pass on 4th and 5 was broken up to secure the victory for Spencerport.

Both teams finish the regular season 4-3.

Thomas 0, Victor 31

The defending Class AA champs in Section V took care of business on offense in the 1st half and defense in the 2nd half as the Blue Devils blanked Webster Thomas on Friday.

Sean Delaney scored three times on a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Victor's starters didn't play in the second half, but the second string still kept Thomas scoreless.

Penn Yan 14, East Rochester/Gananda 34

Contrary to what may have been said on television, East Rochester/Gananda heads into sectionals with a 34-14 win over Penn Yan.

The Bombers led 19-0 at halftime thanks to touchdowns from Cowyn Cleveland, Jayden Castrechini, and Cory Chiccino. 

Letcworth/Warsaw 6, LeRoy 20

Kyler LeCarte gave LeRoy a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a 2 yard touchdown run. 

In the 2nd quarter, Gavin Luckey caught a 20-yard touchdown pass off a trick play as the Knights took a 13-0 into the locker room. 

Luke Stella scored a third quarter touchdown to seal the 20-6 victory over Letchworth/Warsaw.

Knights finish the regular season 6-1 while Letchworth/Warsaw ends 4-3.
