Braves win under Friday night lights at home for the first time since 1952

Rochester - For the first time since 1952 the Canandaigua Braves played a home football game under the lights on a Friday night. 

The Braves didn't waste time giving their the crowd something to cheer about. On the first drive of the game, the home team marched 65 yards in three plays capped off by an AJ Clifford 15-yard touchdown run to give the Braves a lead less than two minutes in.

It stayed 7-0 into halftime.

Canandaigua made it 14-0 on their first drive of the second half when Seth Vigneri scored from 29 yards out.

The Braves put the game away in the 4th quarter when Clifford scored his second touchdown of the night. He finished with 186 yards on the ground.

The Academy moves to 2-0 with the win as Spencerport moves back to 1-1.

Matt LaRocca threw two touchdowns and ran in a pair leading the Panthers past the Titans. Panthers move to 1-1 on the season.

Malachi Duvall recovered a fumble for a touchdown and Michael Masucci returned an interception for a touchdown as the Warriors defense blanks the Saints.

Patriots are now 1-1 on the season.

ER/Gananda 46 Midlakes 0

Bombers led 26-0 at halftime and improved to 2-0 on the season.

Brockport 26 Eastridge 7

Gordy Fisher scored three touchdowns in place of the injured Cory Gross for the Blue Devils.
