Sutherland Handles Cross Town Rivals

Liz Greendyke poured in 27 points and pulled down six rebounds leading Sutherland to an easy 68-49 win over Mendon Friday night in part two of the Rainbow Classic at Sutherland. 

The Knights jumped out to an 18-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The lead was 24 at the half, and the Vikings never got closer than 13 points down. 

Bayley Axelrod added 12 points for Sutherland and Santita Ebangwese scored 11. 

Alley Phillips scored 13 to lead the Vikings in a losing cause. 

Sutherland rebounded from their first loss of the season and improved their record to 16-1. Mendon is now 12-5.
