Steady Bloomfield Outpaces Early College in C1 Final

(1)Bloomfield looked the part of a top-seed in dispatching (6)Early College 70-49 in the Class C1 final on Saturday at Blue Cross Arena. It's the first sectional title for Bloomfield since they won three straight Class B title from 1976-1978.

Alex Flattery took home tournament MVP honors after filling out the statsheet with 29 points and 12 rebounds. He was also a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line. Brian Dulen also had a double-double for Bloomfield, finishing with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Dyllan Taillon also chipped in 15 points for the Bombers.

Bloomfield led 18-6 after the opnening quarter and never looked back. Early College could not hang with the Bombers' firepower. Dashawn Blocker led the Cobras with 16 points. Devante Walker also added 12 points for Early College.

Bloomfield will take on C3 champions, Perry, in the Western Regional play-in game on Monday, March 3rd at 7:00 from Caledonia-Mumford High School.
