Schroeder Hangs On To Upset Aquinas

(6)Webster Schroeder went ahead in the second period and had to hang during a strong barrage of (3)Aquinas shots, but the Warriors hung on for a 2-1 win in their Class B quarterfinal at Lakeshore Hockey Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Jeremy Caulkins lit the lamp at 4:42 of the second period to give Schroeder the lead after Joe Schuler tied the game in the first period.

After going in front, Aquinas tried all they could to level the score. Schroeder's junior goalie Ryan Beutel made 24 saves on 25 shots for the afternoon to see through the upset win.

Webster Schroeder will take on (2)Hilton in the Class B semifinals on Wednesday, February 19th at 7:30 from Bill Grays Iceplex on the MCC Campus.
