Matt Montgomery scored twice and Ryan Buetel stopped all 16 shots he faced as (6)Schroeder shutout (4)Victor 3-0 in the Class B hockey final at RIT's Ritter Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Schuler opened the scoring on a Schroeder power play in the first period. He fired a pass into the slot that Casey Winn deflected in.

In the second, Schuler carried the puck in the Blue Devils zone and fired a shot from the faceoff circle. The rebound bounced to the other circle and right onto Montgomery's tape for a tap in goal and a 2-0 lead. The third goal was scored by Montgomery on an empty net. Schuler assisted on all three goals.

Schroeder now moves on to the state quarterfinals. The Warriors will play their game on Saturday at Webster Ice Arena. Time and opponent to be determined.
