Mitch Cicero scored 21 points to lead Perry past Bloomfield 64-53 in the first half of the Class C state qualifier tournament Monday night at a packed Cal-Mum High School.

Tyler Elliott added 19 points for the Jackets. T.J. McGinnis added eight--six of which came on back to back three-pointers in the third quarter. It gave Perry the biggest lead of the game at 48-26.

Bloomfield answered with a 14-2 run that was capped by Dyllan Taillon's steal and acrobatic three-point play. He topped the Bombers with 15 points, however Bloomfield could not shrink the deficit to single digits until the game's dying seconds.

The Yellowjackets move on to face Clyde-Savannah on Wednesday. The Eagles got a bye because of their perfect 21-0 record. The game will be played at Penfield High School with tip time at 7pm.
