Bishop Kearney sophomore guard Quinton Rose led the Kings with 21 points in a 79-67 win at home over McQuaid.

Kearney came into the contest with five games under the belt against teams from outside of Section V. The defending Class AA state champs looked poised enough against a tough team from McQuaid to improve to 2-4 this season.

The Kings had three other scorers in double figures. Branden Kellam had 13 while Rian Carter and Nathan Bradley each chipped in 11.

For McQuaid, they fall to 4-5 despite some great performances from two of their seniors. Charlie Zaepfel had a game-high 22 points while Jake Fenlon was right behind with 20.
