Margot Hetzke scored 26 points and led Penfield to a 69-61 comeback win over Irondequoit on Five Mile Line Road Tuesday night.

The Patriots trailed by two at the half and by five early in the third quarter before running off nine points to take the lead for good. Penfield kept coming and outscored the Eagles 20-5 to close out the third quarter.

Irondequoit never went away, but Penfield kept the Eagles at arms length throughout the fourth quarter. The smallest margin of the quarter was the eight points that proved to be the final score.

Lucy Covley added 25 points for the Patriots, including a buzzer-beating putback at the end of the third quarter. Emma Guy had eight points and 18 rebounds.

Savannah Crocetti led the Eagles with 18 points while Abby White scored 17 and made five 3-pointers. Jen Reininger had 11 points.

Penfield is now 12-2 and still unbeaten against Section Five teams. Irondequoit fell to 11-4.
