Geneva Hangs On For Overtime Win in A2 Semifinal

(1)Geneva had their hands full with (5)NE/NW College Prep, but the Panthers from Ontario County came out on top 60-56 in overtime in the Class A2 semifinal on Tuesday night from Blue Cross Arena.

Akia Jackson led Geneva with 24 points and 6 rebounds which included vital buckets in the final minutes of regulation. Ray Sims Jr scored the go-ahead bucket for Geneva in OT before finishing with 10 points. Terrell Johnson Jr. was also in double-figures with 14 for Geneva.

NE/NW College Prep had the best player of the night in Torry Wright. The senior finished with 32 points and 12 rebounds in his final high school game. Wright was the only Panther in double-figures.

Geneva will take on (3)Batavia in the Class A2 Final on Sunday, March 2nd at 5:00 from Blue Cross Arena.
