Top-seed Fairport continues their strong season with an 8-6 win over Webster Thomas in the Class A Semifinal from Eastridge on Saturday afternoon.

Defense and strong goaltending was the common theme of the contest. Fairport led 5-3 at halftime and both teams struggled to break down the other's stout defense.

The Red Raiders benefited from goals by 6 different players. Kyle McAvoy and Christian Nairy were able to find the back of the net twice.

After scoring the opening goal of the game, Thomas couldn't score again until late in the first half, but by that point, Fairport led 4-1 and were in front for good.

Fairport will take on 2-seed Pittsford in the Class A Final on Tuesday May 27th at 7:30pm from Webster Schroeder.
