Nick Musshafen finally banged home a rebound with four minutes to play, giving Fairport a 3-2 win over McQuaid in a battle of hockey titans at Thomas Creek Ice Arena Saturday afternoon.

Craig McCabe tied the game early in the third on a long wrister for McQuaid. Jack Dugan scored in the second period to cut Fairport's lead in half.

The Red Raiders jumped on McQuaid for two goals in the first period. Tyler Sullivan and Cody Howatt lit the lamp on those scores.

It was the regular season finale for both teams, who will each be seeded no lower than third in the Class A sectionals. Fairport finished the season 14-5-1 while McQuaid ended at 15-4-1.
