Doug Whaley said in a statement that linebacker Kiko Alonso suffered a knee injury while working out in Oregon. Whaley says early indications are the injury could be "significant."
Various reports from around the NFL claim Alonso's injury is an ACL tear. If true, he would almost certainly miss the entire 2014 season.
Whaley provided no other details about what Alonso was exactly doing or when the injury happened.
The Bills don't report to camp at St. John Fisher until July 18th.
Here's the full Doug Whaley statement: "We have learned tonight that Kiko Alonso injured his knee while working out in Oregon. We do not have the details at this point, but early indications are that it may be significant."
