South Wedge Residents Warn Drivers to Slow Down

- About a dozen neighbors in the south wedge are taking neighborhood traffic into their own hands.  They're calling it a "traffic calming project".
They're concerned about how fast people drive and residents say drivers don't always stop at stop signs and crosswalks.  People dressed as turtles last night as a symbol for drivers to slow down.  Judy Bennett, a part of the traffic project, said, "We just want to raise people's awareness of how important it is to pay attention to the speed limit and because these are residential streets, maybe even go slower."

Neighbors traveled to six different streets in the south wedge.
