You're listening to the beautiful sound of the Madrigal Choir at Canandaigua Academy. Year after year it turns out some of the best student musicians around. Alexandra Grimm is one of them. "I really like the atmosphere you get in a choir, because everyone's really working together and you all have to blend and give yourself to the choir, so you can have a beautiful, rich sound," she says. "It's really a rewarding experience."
Last year, Alexandra was one of just 160 students from 11 states to earn a spot on the All Eastern Choir, from the American Choral Director's Association. This year, she won a spot on the All State Choir.
Alexandra plans on studying languages and literature in college. And she'll continue with music. She's an exceptional scholar with talent to spare.
