Rochester, New York - New at 6 a group of 9th graders from a Rochester City Charter School are getting a first hand look at what it's like to be in college. the teens are from young women's college prep. Amy Young is live from Roberts Wesleyan campus with more. 60th 9th graders at "Rochester's Young Women's College Prep Charter School" are getting a taste of the College Life here at Roberts Wesleyan. For many it's their first time away from home. The young women come here to take a few classes as well as learn life skills. Team Building and get the feel for college life. Organizers say it encourages many of these young women to dream of college one day something that may not necessarily otherwise be on their radar. Well the girls have the opportunity to really forge bonds between one another. Many of our girls have been here since the seventh grade. And this is the start of their third year. However we do have 7 new girls who are starting the ninth grade with us. And it's a true opportunity for our very first class to bond. " The students moved in Sunday they will stay through Friday. And coming up at 11 we will hear from some of the young women and get a feel for their experience so far.
