Reports Say the LPGA Championship is Leaving Rochester

- Multiple reports out tonight say the Women's LPGA championship will be held downstate next year.  This summer's Wegman's LPGA Championship will be the 38th year in a row that the best women golfers in the world have come to Rochester to play. This year the tournament is being held for the first time at Monroe Country Club.  Every year before that it was held at Locust Hill Country Club.
Last year when the move to  Monroe was announced, it was made clear that the future of the LPGA Championship was uncertain after that.  Tonight, it appears the championship is moving and it's unclear if rochester will host a regular tour stop in the future.
The LPGA isn't commenting tonight.  They have scheduled a news conference for tomorrow morning in New York City.
