Potassium Iodide Pills Handed Out to Residents near Ginna Nuclear Power Plant

- Local officials handed out potassium iodide at the Webster Wegmans today to people who live near Ginna nuclear power plant.  The pills are handed out every seven years as a precautionary measure.  They're free to anyone who lives within 10 miles of the plant.  Government officials will instruct residents to take the tablets in a state of emergency to protect themselves from nuclear iodide
