Charlotte could soon have a high rise hotel at the Port of Rochester but some residents aren't happy about the plan.
The Charlotte Community Association will meet with Rochester City officials, as well as the Manager of Environmental Quality, to ask questions about the process the city used in selecting Edgewater Resources as the project's developer. Costing $77 million, the waterfront project will include 120 condos, ranging in price from 200-thousand dollars to more than one-million. There will also be townhouses and a hotel. The city says Edgewater's track record makes it a perfect fit.
Tonight's meeting is in advance of a public meeting Thursday where folks are invited to ask questions to the developer itself.
