First Lady Michelle Obama launched a nationwide campaign to get kids healthier. Who better than Olympic athletes to drive that point home?
Two-time Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan says, "I'm an Olympic athlete. Let's get moving! " A handful of Olympic athletes in Vancouver for the 2010 games were asked how they stay healthy.
Louis Vito took 5th in the men's half pipe (snowboarding) in the 2010 Games. His advice: "Go hang out with some friends and go do something that's active and you're going to sleep better at night and feel better in the morning. "
Noelle Pikus-Pace took 4th place in skeleton at the 2010 Games. She says there's one thing she can't leave home without. "One of the best tips for me is carrying around a water bottle wherever I go."
Kwan says, "Even when you're 7 years old, 8 years old, you have to be aware of what you put in your body and if you get enough rest."
These short interviews were just posted to the Let's Move YouTube page but the website itself offers more than just videos. Parents can log on the site for healthy eating tips and ways to get the kids off the couch.
