After a thrilling overtime win against Duke Saturday night and a last second loss by the formerly unbeaten and top ranked Arizona Wildcats, Syracuse hopped over Arizona to claim the number one ranking in the AP and coaches poll on Monday.
All 65 AP voters named the Orange as their top team. Arizona fell only to number two. Florida is three and the only unbeaten team in the nation other than Syracuse, Wichita State, is fourth.
It's Syracuse's 15th week all time at the top spot.
The coaches were also 32-for-32 voting Syracuse number one, but had Wichita State second with Arizona and Florida after that.
The Orange are off their best start in school history at 21-0. They will test the new ranking immediately Monday night when the host Notre Dame at 7pm.
