Gibbs street turns into Jazz street starting tomorrow.  Over the last week, tents have gone up and the community is ready to hear some sweet tunes tomorrow.  Rochester's annual Jazz Fest has quickly become one of the nation's most popular jazz festivals.  Over the next nine days, hundreds of thousands will pack the streets to hear some great music, mingle with friends, and grab a bite to eat.  Once the stages are set up, there be 1,200 artists performing at 19 venues, a total of 312 shows, 81 of those, free.
Robert Veeder and his daughter are excited.  They came down a day early to watch the set up.  Robert said, ""I'm excited to see all the people I came down today just to watch them set up and see all the business."  His daughter Carolynn added, "It's people coming into downtown from all over. I have a friend coming from Texas just to be here for the whole week."

Last year, close to 200,000 people made their way to Rochester or the Jazz Fest.  The festival kicks off tomorrow with Janelle Monae as the headliner.
