By MAUREEN MCGUIRE | email@example.com
Both of Alexis Faraut's parents are artists and now she's coming into her own as well. One of her ambitions is to run her own business. This Honeoye Central School senior loves to work with new media. She's always been inspired by Japanese aname. She designs t-shirts, posters and murals- for organizations and clubs throughout the community. "I've designed countless different cartoon characters and all sorts of things, so to do be a character designer would be a dream," she says. Alexis' artwork has been displayed in a number of local shows, including the Finger Lake Regional Show at Eastview Mall and the annual Scholastic Art Show at RIT. This fall she'll attend RIT to study new media design.
