The Summer STEM Institute, in collaboration with the Center for Student Innovation, introduces students who will begin 9th grade in the fall at the Rochester STEM high school to an integrated approach to STEM education. Students use English and math skills to support a series of science and engineering projects. In addition to the balloon launch, they will conduct a simulated crime scene investigation and develop and program computer-interfaced robotic devices. The results of their studies will be presented to parents and school leaders on August 1, 2014.
