Shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Nazareth College Arts Center at 4245 East Ave. in Rochester. Tickets for "Ballet: RCB Style" range from $25 to $40 and may be purchased online here or by phone at 585-389-2170.
RCB's brand new piece, "InCantation," is an exciting collaboration between composer Adrienne Elisha, world-renowned double-bassist James VanDemark, and RCB artistic director Jamey Leverett. This joint effort will feature VanDemark on stage with the company as an integral part of the dancing and performance.
"This is our chance to celebrate the beauty and significance of dance," Leverett said. "It's an opportunity to share our passion for dance in all forms and take our audience on a journey through the many facets of Rochester City Ballet."
Following each "Ballet: RCB Style" performance, audience members will have the chance to talk with Leverett, VanDemark, Elisha and company dancers during a Q&A segment. All attendees of RCB's next In Studio event, featuring a preview of InCantation, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, will have a chance to participate in a raffle to win two four-packs of tickets to "Ballet: RCB Style."
To RSVP for the In Studio event, email email@example.com or call 585-461-5850.
