New Legislation Passes to Combat Growing Heroin Epidemic in New York

An effort to get heroin off the streets has been given the green light.  Governor Cuomo and legislative leaders have reached an agreement on a series of bills to help combat the growing heroin epidemic.  The new laws include programs and insurance reforms to improve treatment options for those addicted to the drug.  It also creates harsher penalties and better tools to help law enforcement crack down on the sale of illegal drugs.
