Rochester, NY (WROC) - The freshmen of Nazareth College who moved in earlier this week, are already having an impact on our community.

The college's orientation "Day of Service" is a long-standing tradition at Naz.  Friday, students assisted in the raking, weeding and yard work at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

"I think it's cool," affirmed Nazareth freshman, Janna Kozloski.  "I'm kind of a history nerd, so i think it's really cool.  I want to at least go see Frederick Douglass' grave before we leave."

Some of the other "Day of Service" activities included bingo with River Edge Manor residents and cleaning exhibits at the Seneca Park Zoo.
