It's never too early to start planning something special for Mother's Day.

A group of University of Rochester students organized a surprise for the mothers and wives of deployed troops on Saturday. Students wrapped 500 gift sets for the special women of those deployed.

"For the women who are home, they don't wear uniforms so they can be lost in a crowd," executive director of Full Circle Home Vickie Durfee said. "They are still taking care of everything at home and sending things overseas and just to have someone recognize them is huge."

The students also wrote a thank you note that they are sending to the troops.
