Mother Who Left Her Child in Car Bailed Out of Jail

A local mother arrested for leaving her son in a car while she was at work is out on bail. 

Police say 22-year-old, Thelma Edwards, left her 4-year-old in the car for more than two hours outside T.G.I. Friday's in Victor.  She was arrested on July 10th and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and driving without a license.  Stay-at-home mom, Aleda Moon, started a crowd-funding campaign for Edwards' $2,000 bail.  She told News 8 that the punishment did not fit the crime.  The money was raised in a few days. but the website took several more days to send it.
According to the fundraising page, Edwards has visitation rights to see her child.
