Medical Technician Pleads Guilty to Stealing Narcotics

Pittsford, NY (WROC)-  A Rochester woman charged with stealing 650 prescription pills from patients in Pittsford has pleaded guilty according to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
Deborah Cleveland, 42, stole the narcotics from a total of eight patients at the Heather Heights assisted living and memory care facility located in Pittsford.  Cleveland was employed as a medication technician at the facility, where she stole prescription narcotics for personal consumption and attempted to conceal the theft by substituting similar pills.
The guilty plea was for the charge of first-degree attempted scheme to defraud.  Cleveland is expected to receive a sentence of probation and four weekends in the Monroe county jail.
 Her sentencing is scheduled for October 16th.
