University of Rochester students put on their high heels for an important cause Saturday.

More than 100 students stood up to sexual violence today, for the first annual "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" march. Event the men walked around campus in women's stilettos. Students want to raise awareness and make it known that sexual or domestic violence will not be tolerated.

"There are a lot of excuses that are made and events like these clarify where the boundaries are and it makes the situation make a lot more sense," U of R junior Joshua Rose said.

Students also want to create a supportive environment for survivors of sexual violence.
