Livingston County Algae Alert Remains in Effect

Livingston Co., NY (WROC)-  The advisory for Conesus Lake remained in effect Sunday.

The advisory was issued last week after blue-green algae blooms were found on the lake. The algae can produce toxins. The County Health Department is advising people not to drink, or use the lake water for cooking, and not to come into direct contact with the algaue.
The lake however is said to be safe for swimming.
