Dozens Gather for Rally to Improve Birth
Dozens gathered in Cobbs Hill Park this Labor Day to spread the word about the state of birth in the U.S. The 2014 Rally to Improve Birth consisted of mothers, fathers and healthcare providers who are all concerned about maternity care. This same rally took place in over 100 cities across the country today. The group says the country's all-time high cesarean section rate of 1 in 3 births is an indicator of a system where the care received is shaped by many factors other than what is best for moms and babies.
