The program is hosted by the district and Action For A Better Community. District leaders are encouraging parents to come out to a fre seminar to get incolved in their child's education. Parents will be able to attend workshops on their rights and responsibilities.
"I really pray that parents would come together and think about the choices we are making," ABC family developer Jack Dees said. "We are choosing to not be involved in our children's education and that should be a priority."
The Parent Shepherd Program has three more sessions that will take place on July 12, October 11 and January 10, 2015 at the Gantt Recreational Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
