The woman with the biggest catch will win a whopping $1,000 prize. A Cinco de Mayo celebration was also held, complete with food, entertainment, and a silent auction. It's an event to recognize the women who founded The Red Cross.
"We wanted to have this opportunity to celebrate women, have them come out, and do something active outdoors. To celebrate the Red Cross and raise some money, so we can respond to the disasters that happen," Sarah Chambers, who is Development Coordinator with The American Red Cross.
Don't worry--they didn't forget about the men! The men's fishing tournament is tomorrow. News 8's Rachel Barnhart was emcee at the event.
