Police say once arriving on scene, they found evidence of shots fired. On scene, 911 received a call from the victim's girlfriend saying that the victim was shot. The victim, a 28-year-old city man, was taken to Rochester General Hospital by private vehicle. The victim was shot in the torso and is currently listed in stable condition.
A police investigation reveled that the victim's vehicle and another vehicle were leavening McDonald's, and waiting at a stoplight at Lexington and Lake Avenue. The suspect then approached the victim's car and opened fire. The victim then sped off down Lake Ave. Once realizing he had been shot, he switched places with a person in the other car and was later taken to the hospital.
There is no suspect in custody. Police believe the motive was robbery.
