Dozens of people hit the putting green today to help raise money for cancer awareness.  The 46th annual Walter Hagen golf tournament was held at Cobblestone Creek country club in Victor.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Hope Lodge Hospitality House through the American Cancer Society.  The Hope Lodge helps guests deal with cancer diagnosis and treatment.  Marty Johnson, the 2014 Event Chair, feels this event is for everyone, "Golf is one of the wonderful universal sports that so many people of all ages can identify with and play.  It gives an opportunity to raise some money and definitely support with a good cause in mind, and our friends and family that we care about here."

There's a big raffle prize.  The winner gets a trip to the PGA National in Palm Beach Garden, Florida.  WROC is a proud sponsor of the tournament.
Our own Kevin Doran is serving as emcee.
