Volunteer spots filled for PGA Championship
The 3,780 volunteer positions for the 95th PGA Championship are now filled. Fans from 38 states, one district, and eight countries have signed up to volunteer for the Season's Final Major at Oak Hill Country Club August 5-11, 2013.
"Volunteers are critical to the success of the PGA Championship," said 95th PGA Championship Director Ryan Cannon. "To have volunteer recruitment completely fulfilled this early is a true testament to the affinity this community and fans around the world have for the game of golf."
Volunteer committee assignments were made on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 40 different committees ranging from, but are not limited to, Leaderboards and Thru Boards
to Caddie Services, Marshalls, and Contestant Transportation. Each adult volunteer is required to contribute a minimum of 16 hours.
Adult volunteers will receive a volunteer uniform, an official copy of the 95th PGA Championship Journal, food vouchers, and off-site parking with shuttle service to the Championship.
In addition, volunteers will receive a Volunteer Credential, which will give them access to the grounds all seven days of the Championship.
Saturday and Sunday Daily Grounds tickets to the 95th PGA Championship are sold out. A limited number of remaining inventory is available. For more information on the 2013 PGA Championship or to purchase tickets, visit: www.pgachampionship.com.
