Vehicle Hits Child, Driver Charged With DWI

Rochester City Police have charged a man with DWI, after they say he struck a child with his vehicle on Miller St. Saturday. 

Lt. Ray Dearcop says the child ran into the road with friends and sustained minor injuries.  The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital as a precaution.

Police say that the suspect was driving on a suspended license and had alcohol in his system at the time.

The suspect has not yet been arraigned.
