Mayor Tom Richards may have not endorsed the Turn Out For Tom campaign, but his supporters are being heard loud and clear.

With a little less than three hours to go, people are still out campaigning for Richards.  They're knocking on doors, making phone calls, and putting up signs.

Tom Richards name is on the independence and working families party lines.

Turn Out for Tom spokesman Tom Cray says he was pleased, but not surprised, by Richards announcement yesterday that if people vote him in, he will serve.

Cray says getting the support and money for this campaign wasn't difficult, "there's a real rising up and a real energy around all of this, it's amazing, it really is, it wasn't a hard push," said Cray, "people, I think, realized that what happened in the primary was that they took everything for granted and this is their second chance, so on that second chance, it's really important that people now get up and vote for Tom Richards."

Supporters will begin gathering at Abilene Bar around nine Tuesday night to watch the returns.  Mayor Richards is not scheduled to be there.
