A Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy shot and wounded a shoplifting suspect Wednesday in Pittsford.   According to Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn, deputies were called to the Pittsford Wegmans around 3:30 for a report of a shoplifter.  He says as the suspect drove away from the store, he hit a parked car, then jumped out and ran across Monroe Avenue.  O'Flynn says the deputy who responded to the scene followed the man and shot him after he displayed a weapon, but he didn't say what kind of weapon.   The shooting happened in a parking lot behind M&T Bank.  O'Flynn says the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle and may be tied to a bank robbery in Ogden yesterday.  He has life-threatening injuries and was taken to Strong Hospital.  The deputy, who is a female, was not injured.   O'Flynn says she has 10 years on the job.

Amy Young is on scene and will have the latest information tonight at 11.
