The NYPD is investigating what they describe as a threatening letter sent to Mayor Bill De Blasio over the weekend. Police say the letter did not have a specific threat. The incident follows several suspicious letters that were sent last week to hotels around MetLife Stadium and to an office of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. But in all of those cases the FBI determined the white powder inside those letters was not hazardous.

The Troy, New York police department added another officer to the force- 10-year-old JP Honsinger. JP was sworn in as an honorary officer Friday. Donning his badge and uniform, he was ready to protect the streets of Troy. A special day for a special young boy fighting a personal battle. JP was diagnosed with Nieman-Pick Disease, a rare degenerative illness. JP had a pretty busy day with partner Kyle Jones, keeping the streets safe.
