Children Awaiting Parents celebrated Mardi Gras at Rochester's Century Club Tuesday.

There was music, food, masks and beads. It was a grand event on Fat Tuesday, all to help CAP. The organization has been helping kids find adoptive homes for 42 years.

"We are trying to get our message out there are lots and lots of older children, special needs, that are available for adoption; and this is our entire mission," Patricia Burks said.

CAP says sometimes kids need to restart their lives because of bad decisions adults make.
