30,000 lbs of chocolate will be made over the Easter holiday, by this man, Kevin Stevers. He's making an Easter tradition, bacon and eggs, and I can tell you they taste even better than the ones you'd eat for brunch.
Easter is Stever's sweetest holiday.
"Especially the last couple of weeks last week in particular we're doing the bacon and eggs and everybody got their last minute bunnies to find so were very busy at the end," Stever's says.
This holiday brings in the most revenue, it even surpasses Valentine's Day. Any by the looks of things, people were sparing no expense.
Lorraine Early was shopping for chocolate, she tells us she probably spends close to $100.
This year, the average person will spend around $137 celebrating Easter, that's according to the National Retail Federation. That's $16 billion nationwide.
"Between dinner and dessert and everything else I'd say I spend a couple hundred dollars," shopper Margie Strain says.
So now that you have your candy all picked out, what are you going to put it in?
Here at Parkleigh, they're thinking outside the basket.
"You know, it's like every other holiday, some are very special for some people, some not so much and when they want to make it special and they want to spend those dollars we can help them anywhere from a $10 basket to hundreds of dollars we can do it," Operations Manager Daniel Mejak says.
Even though those numbers are down compared to where they were last year, it's still a sweet treat for stores.
