New York Minute: January 6th

- Officials say at least one person was killed in a fire at a New York City high-rise Sunday. Cell phone video captured the blaze at the building in midtown Manhattan. A spokesman with the New York Fire Department says the fire started on the 20th floor. Officials say the 27-year-old who was killed was trapped in a stairwell. One person was critically injured while six others had minor injuries. No word yet on the cause of the fire.

The winter weather is making for some icy runways at New York's JFK Airport. A regional Delta flight skidded off the runway into a snow bank Sunday. The plane was landing at JFK from Toronto. The Port Authority says there were about 32 passengers on board. No one was hurt.
