New York Minute: December 10th

- You cannot be careful enough on the roads during the winter months. Icy roads are causing wrecks across New York. About 20 cars were involved in a pile-up in Yonkers late Sunday. Authorities say about 40 people were injured, but none of the injuries were serious. The accident shut down the Bronx River Parkway until Monday morning. The wintry blast has been wreaking havoc across much of the U.S. with snow, freezing rain and plunging temperatures.

A house in Queens is all decked out for the holidays. Robert Ondrovic photographed an elaborately-decorated home in Queens, new York by retired firefighter Kevin Lynch. He says Lynch has been putting together these stunning Christmas displays at his home for the past 17 years. Adding more decorations to the display each year. Most years it takes Kevin six to eight weeks.
