Perinton, NY (WROC) - One local winery is getting a boost from a federal grant aimed to help small businesses and farms. It was announced this week that Casa Larga Vineyards in Perinton earned a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They'll use the funds to renovate a storage space into a spot for a year-round farmer's market.
"As opposed to just having tables with your vegetable on it, maybe we'll have tents, and lights, and things. So, it kind of has like almost that Italian feel when you walk down the streets in Italy," said Casa Larga's Marketing Director, Andrea Colaruotolo.
The hope is to have the farmer's market open by next summer.
