What's In Store? Funk 'n Waffles, Carter's, Walmart Supercenter renovations

New businesses open, major retailer plans for local renovations

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Syracuse-based Funk 'n Waffles celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Rochester at the former Water Street Music Hall on Friday.

Owner Adam Gold described it as a family friendly restaurant focusing on live music, using locally sourced food to make specialty dishes of chicken and waffles.

"We've been really working very hard for almost 6 months renovating this space, building a brand new kitchen, getting it painted. You know, it's a very large space so it took a lot of time a lot of effort. Probably had 20-30 people working on it for the past you know 5 or 6 months," said Gold.
