Voters head to the polls on Election Day 2017

Polls close at 9 p.m.

(WROC-TV) - Voters are heading to the polls on Tuesday.

One of the most heated races on the ballot -- the Monroe County Sheriff's race. It's between incumbent Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn and former Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter.

We're also tracking the mayoral race in Rochester. The candidates are incumbent Mayor Lovely Warren on the Democratic ticket, Monroe County Legislator Tony Micciche on the Republican ticket, Green Party candidate Alex White, and Independent candidate Lori Thomas.

Another important race is the race for Henrietta Town Supervisor. Incumbent Jack Moore is under fire for federal complaints over how he allegedly treated a handful of employees. The allegations include making racist and sexist remarks, as well as retaliating against employees who complained. Moore is running on the Republican ticket against Democratic Candidate Steve Schultz and Bright Future candidate Jeffrey Kueppers.

Also on the ballot in New York, whether or not to hold a constitutional convention.

In the small Yates County Town of Barrington, voters will decide on a ballot measure that would loosen dome of the strictest alcohol policies in the state.

Polls opened at 6:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m.
